REVIEW & GIVEAWAY: Waxelene
April 15, 2013 waxelene

Reviewer: Ashley, Closet of Free Samples Website: http://www.closetsamples.com/review-giveaway-waxelene/ I hate having dry skin from when I’m at work. I get it often dealing with boxes and putting out stock and such and my hands generally are dry and irritated. So usually I have to apply a moisturizer multiple times a day or lotion of some sort. You know what else can be used though? petroleum jelly. Of course rather than using actual petroleum jelly, I found an alternative product called Waxelene to try out plus one lucky reader has a chance to win a jar as well!

About Waxelene:
We at Waxelene have a deep commitment to the health and quality of life of our friends and neighbors on this small planet of ours.
Simple, natural and certified organic ingredients with amazing properties plus our patent-pending aeration process have enabled us to use no petroleum or artificial ingredients in Waxelene, while even improving on the performance of traditional petroleum jelly. Waxelene is the next generation of skin care.
We do everything we can to be more sustainable every day. From our natural/organic ingredients to our recyclable glass jars (no plastic!), 100% recycled boxes, and 100% wind-powered facility, we are striving to be part of the petroleum-free future.
We are happy to offer a truly natural product where you can pronounce everything on our short ingredient list. Waxelene is made in the USA.
What do I think?
Personally I find the product to work just as good as petroleum jelly. It creates the same waterproof barrier that doctors recommend petroleum jelly for but contains no petroleum or hydrogenated oil. Waxelene® highly effective for any kind of dry skin. Not only that, it can be used for hundreds of other things just like petroleum jelly.I found that the texture of waxelene is slightly different, as in it’s a bit thicker and not quite as smooth as petroleum jelly, but I like it. Also, waxelene doesn’t have a smell like Petroleum jelly either. It’s more of a natural very light scent, which I love!
I chose to use some Waxelene on my hands for moisturizer and I must say I love it! It went on smoothly – even though it’s a different sort of smooth that’s hard to explain, as I said. I love that it’s made with all natural ingredients and even carrys out that natural scent to it that is very light and subtle. Also, it’s baby safe as well so you don’t have to worry about harming the baby when using this product.I’m not a huge fan of using petroleum jelly, mainly because I never really had a use for it, but from my experience I have honestly decided I would much rather use waxelene. Seriously, if there was a choice on my store shelf for this product to petroleum jelly, after my experience I would make the switch to Waxelene. I am in love and I think anyone who tried it out would be as well! It’s a long lasting product that lasts for quite a while. I definitely can’t complain anywhere about this company!
